Who we are
Uncle Sam Tyres is a small, independent tyre shop tucked in the yard behind 282 Broad Road in Braintree. Saadeddine Naboulsi runs it with a small team, and when you ring the number on this website you get the workshop rather than a call centre.
We sell new tyres and checked part worn tyres, repair punctures properly from the inside, and set tracking back to where the manufacturer intended. That is deliberately a short list. Doing four things well beats doing twelve things badly.
How we work
We quote the whole job, not the tyre. Fitting, balancing, a new valve and disposal of your old tyre are all in the price we tell you on the phone, so there is no creeping total when you come to pay.
If a tyre can be repaired we repair it, because that is cheaper for you and it is the right answer. If a tyre is not safe we will show you why on the tyre itself rather than asking you to take our word for it.
Where we work
Most of our customers are from Braintree, Bocking and Great Notley, but people come to us from across mid Essex, including Witham, Halstead, Coggeshall, Great Dunmow, Chelmsford and Colchester. We do not offer emergency call-out or mobile fitting. Everything is done at the workshop, which is how we keep prices where they are.
What you can expect
Six things we stand by
Local and independent
A Braintree tyre shop run by Saadeddine and a small team, not a national chain reading off a script.
New and part worn
Two honest options in most sizes, so there is always something that fits the budget you have today.
Open six days a week
Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm, with bank holidays covered 10am to 4pm, so a Saturday tyre problem does not have to wait.
While you wait
Most tyres and puncture repairs are done in under half an hour with the kettle on.
Straight pricing
The price we quote on the phone includes fitting, balancing, a new valve and old tyre disposal.
Honest advice
If a repair will do, we repair it. If a tyre is not safe, we say so and show you why.

Questions we get asked
About the shop, answered
The things people ask when they are deciding who to trust with their tyres.
Who runs Uncle Sam Tyres?
Saadeddine Naboulsi, who fits tyres himself most days alongside a small team. If you ring the shop you are talking to the people doing the work.
How long have you been fitting tyres in Braintree?
We have been on Broad Road building the business on local word of mouth from Bocking, Great Notley and the villages round Braintree, and most of our work comes from repeat customers.
Are you part of a national chain?
No. We are fully independent, which is why we can quote you a straight price and tell you when a tyre still has life left in it rather than reading off a script.
